Preparing For Consultation

How to get the most from your first appointment with Mr Madi.

For information only — not medical advice. The content on this page is patient education to help you understand a condition or treatment. It is not a substitute for personalised assessment by a qualified clinician. Always consult your doctor or specialist about your own symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment decisions.

Before your appointment

Bring any imaging (MRI, X-ray, CT) on disc or arrange secure transfer in advance through Mr Madi's secretary.

Make a short timeline of your symptoms — when they started, what makes them better or worse, and what treatments you have tried.

List your current medications and any allergies.

Write down the three most important questions you would like answered.

What to expect

A new consultation typically lasts 30–45 minutes and includes a full history, examination and review of your imaging.

Mr Madi will explain your diagnosis in plain English and discuss all reasonable options — including non-surgical care.

You will receive a written summary letter to you and your GP within a few days.
